 Director’s Report for 2009

January 30, 2010

In 2009, a weak First Quarter improved in the Second Quarter; the Third and Fourth Quarters improved even more in both Total Income and in the Number of Clients/Families in Private Sessions.  We ministered in private sessions to thirty-nine families[*] in 2009.  The Director spoke in six different churches, some more than once.

Due to concern over the economy in general, the Director took no salary check until June in order to keep more cash on hand.  From January through May, the radio spots continued.

In 2009, Facebook provided an additional tool for ministry.  The Director created a personal page through which he added contacts, increased ministry, and built relationships.  Announcements of speaking engagements, status updates about the ministry, and prayer requests flowed through the social networking tool of Facebook.  Articles published in the Note section of the Director’s page created an additional medium of communication.

The Director’s listing in the Therapy Directory of Psychology Today continued effective, especially since the Therapy Directory links to medical and mental health sites as well as to Yahoo and Google searches.  In 2009, the Director had 1357 Profile views, 98 emails, and 96 web page views through the Therapy Directory.

As to the BECOMING web site, since March 2008, the site has had 4,769 page views.  The page views include the Index (first page) and articles.  Statistics return to zero for any page not accessed in the past 90 days.

The initial form filled out by a client in the office on the first visit provides insight into how clients find BECOMING:  In 2009, clients found the ministry of BECOMING as follows:  radio spots (7), phonebook (3), relatives (7), referrals from physicians or churches (6), Internet (4), as returning clients (6), friends (6).
